JHP is freelance photographer, Jess Hahaj, and although home base is Salem, Oregon I frequently travel across the country. I have photographed for magazines, advertisers, microstock, private companies and individuals. What started as a hobby has turned into a passion and takes advantage of a gypsy lifestyle while living in an RV to travel for work with my husband.
I shoot with a Nikon DSLR and with the use of editing programs, I make what I see through my lens, into an individual piece of art and can alter my style dependent on what the client is looking for. Of course I am passionate about more than just photography and I have the ability to photograph those passions which include equestrian sports, aviation, real estate and nature. The start of my professional career began by photographing helicopter operations in California which continues to be an especially strong area of interest for me.
Real Estate and Commercial: I really love real estate but do not have the knack to be an agent. I enjoy capturing what home means to the clients and producing an image worthy of a buyers attention. In a world where an image is worth a thousand words let me help you say the right ones whether it be for a home sale or a business adverstisment.
Portraits: I am happy to do portrait sessions at a location of your chosing. I do not have a studio at this time. I have a long history with equestrian sports and love to take photos of people and their pets!
Aviation: I enjoy photographing all aspects of aviation from hot air balloons to fighter jets. A specialty area however, is helicopter operations on construction projects. I have been safety trained for PAR Services contracts and worked in California. I know the safety concerns and appropriate professional conduct around aircraft and crew.
Stock/magazine/editorial: My travels take me many different places and I am able to access a wide berth of photo oppertunities through networking and being camera ready. Ask about details, assignments or my current collection.
Events: Although I typically do not photograph special events, like weddings, I would be happy to come along as a second photographer and I sometimes volunteer my photography services for non-profit organizations. Hire me for an hour or all day.
Fine Art: As a freelance photographer I have captured many images in many places and created from those images some worthy of fine art status. Some are just perfectly exposed traditional images while some are abstract and digitally edited. Prints and gifts are available on my website in a wide array of formats.
I look forward to sharing my vision with you!
