I was born in Jersalem. At a young age I moved with my family to an orange and avocado farm in central Israel. It was there that I developed a love and appreciation of nature and the outdoors and the joy of photographing it. In 1988 I imigrated with my wife and son to the U.S. We first settled in southern California, and then after a number of years, moved to Petaluma.
I started my professional photography career doing weddings and children sporting events and have expanded into landscape photography. In addition to being a photographer, I am also a finished carpenter where I am able to make use of my creative and artistic nature as well.
Since getting my first camera at the age of 13, photography has always been my passion. Living in Wine Country in northern California and having traveled extensively to places such as Italy, Israel, England, Niagara Falls, Mexico, the Carribean, and throughout the United States have provided me with many excellent photo opportunities. My photographs have been shown in many local exhibits throughout California. I am one of the founding members of the Camera Arts Club of Petaluma which gives me the chance to share my passion and experiences with others.
In order to never miss a photo opportunity, I always travel with my equipment. For color photos I use a Canon digital camera and Canon L series lenses. I also continue to work extensively with still black and white film.
